Introducing The City of Good
City of Good is a vision of a Singapore, where Individuals, Organisations and Leaders come together to give their best for others. Giving our best for others means moving away from a ‘me-first’ mindset and being other-centred.
In short, a City of Good is where we value people first and foremost, and become a Singapore that cares.

We believe that Singaporeans can be other-centred.
Our history shows that we do care and act – right from the time of our forefathers, who set up ethnic associations, built schools and hospitals to serve the community. That said, everyone has moments when we doubt whether we “have enough” to give. This is why we must always remind ourselves of the gifts we already have and make other-centredness an ingrained habit and care as part of our culture, and a way of life. City of Good fuels the national Singapore Cares movement to build a caring and inclusive home for all, where care is an integral part of our Singaporean identity and way of life.
People of Good
People who care for one another and take action to make society better for all will encourage others to act and spark change.
Leaders of Good
Leaders who build trust between diverse groups and empower other leaders to do good will pave the way for a better future together.
The Community Matters Team at NVPC serves to champion, nurture and bridge communities.
