Level Up Series

About

Level-Up is a series of topical masterclasses that aim to bridge the skill-gap currently present in non-profits through community-based peer-learning and peer-sharing with partners. These masterclasses cover a variety of topics including storytelling, digital skills, business process redesign and funding, depending on the needs faced by community partners.

Series 2 in partnership with SportCare involved 9 NPOs and focused on sports through targeted proposal writing for the Communities of Care grant.

The session aimed at levelling-up NPO ideas using design thinking elements which involved a sport-based engagement, inclusion of a sport component in an existing non-sport programme or by strengthening the delivery of an existing sport based programme for communities in need.

Community Matters and talentTrust held our first two-part Level Up Series on attracting and engaging high net-worth donors.

During the first roundtable discussion, talenTtrust mentor Chris McEvoy and Tim Oei from the National Kidney Foundation shared their insights on the high net-worth landscape and trends, with the second session focusing on donor prospecting and stewardship.

Facilitated by Renee Gallant and Kirk Stokes, the session touched on the following:

  • The principles of fundraising
  • The qualification process including gathering insightful donor information
  • How approaching the right people at the right time, and for the right project can increase the chance of soliciting donations
