Manager / Senior Manager, Strategy & Projects

Job Overview

The role is responsible for supporting the Deputy CEO (DCEO) through a combination of functions including strategic planning, project management, writing and editing, research and administration. The incumbent will work closely with the Strategy Team, Leadership team and external strategic partners on key organisation initiatives and projects.   The ideal candidate should possess strategic thinking skills,  excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion.

Core Duties And Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Provide support to DCEO to spearhead and co-ordinate strategic projects, compile information, complete reports and analysis

Strategy Support

  • Keeps abreast of NVPC’s strategy, key projects, short & long-term commitments to plan and align the work in C-suite Office with the Strategy and Policy Team
  • Attend meetings with, or on behalf, of DCEO and ensure the necessary actions on matter arising are followed through
  • Perform research on topics relating to the meetings or projects and co-ordinate with other teams to prepare materials, talking points and presentations for the meetings
  • Develop an organized and efficient system to facilitate work processes and recording of essential information/data. 
  • Work with DCEO’s Personal Assistant to organize and manage his schedule by prioritizing the multiple demands and calendar of appointments using judgement and discretion
  • Serve as the DCEO’s key liaison with leadership team, staff and external key stakeholders. 


  • Serve as the secretariat for management meeting
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Business Management or related field  
  • Ideally at least 5 years of executive level experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across disciplines
  • Ability to demonstrate executive-level of presence, communication, and presentation to Senior Management Executives
  • Effective, versatile and action-oriented with strong interpersonal and influencing skills  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, detail-oriented and highly organized 
  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across teams and in a fast-paced environment
  • Possesses problem-solving and active listening skills
