Assistant Manager/Manager, Collaborate For Good (Contract)

Job Overview

The incumbent is responsible for driving the success of strategic, sustainable and impactful initiatives that support organisations on their corporate purpose journey. In particular, he/she would be responsible for planning and implementing the Collaborate for Good initiatives that support the underpinning narrative of “for community, by community”. Collaborate for Good encourages businesses to partner and leverage on their key strengths so that their doing good efforts can scale and be more sustained.

To be successful, the incumbent must possess a dynamic “can do” attitude and is willing to take on the challenge of rallying and collaborating with others to create new ways to solve complex and interdependent problems. He/She should enjoy coming up with new ideas on how businesses can collaborate to do good more strategically, sustainably and with impact. He/She would also have a passion for turning these ideas into self-generating and self-sustaining realities, efficiently and effectively. The candidate should be confident with developing and presenting business proposals to gain buy-in and interests from businesses, and to build win-win relationships. He/She will need to be hands-on, is able to embrace uncertainties, appreciates platform strategies, and possesses a mindset for continuous improvement and growth. The candidate should have a flair and appreciation of the roles, dynamics and interactions amongst different stakeholders in an ecosystem. He/she should also be versed in acquiring and maintaining multi-lateral relationships with partners, and have excellent stakeholder management skills so as to align complex and potential competing interests, aspirations and actions in the sector. We are looking for an experienced professional who is proactive, strong in project and resource management and possesses desirable leadership qualities.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research and study opportunities for strategic and innovative doing good partnerships amongst businesses and other stakeholders
  • Design and develop innovative and scalable initiatives for businesses to integrate doing good into their daily operations and also interactions with their stakeholders
  • Provide inputs, feedback and recommendations on improvement to the strategy, structure and processes of the work
  • Develop and produce material and business proposals to socialise and obtain buy-in from stakeholders
  • Acquire and cultivate potential partners to collaborate together on corporate giving initiatives that are strategic, sustainable, scalable and impactful, and in line with COG’s objectives and goals
  • Facilitate discussion and negotiation for the formation of potential partnerships and relationship building amongst stakeholders
  • Project manage timelines and resources towards desired outcomes
  • Document and report back on the progress, outcomes and impact of work

Key Deliverables

  • Successful, innovative, well-designed and media-worthy multi-lateral B2B and/or tri-sectoral collaborations that enable doing to be a part of daily lives of individuals and businesses.
  • Collaborations that can continually be scaled and allow more stakeholders to come on board to partner
  • A national go-to marketplace for individuals and organisations to offer and join opportunities to do good together

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration or Management, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources
  • Minimum 4-5 years of working/relevant experience
  • Experience in business development and market development with abilities to socialise ideas with businesses to obtain buy-in for partnerships
  • Experience in developing business proposals, presenting ideas with success, cultivating and facilitating multi-lateral win-win-win collaborations
  • Experience in account managing and relationship building with businesses  
  • Knowledge of the corporate sector and/or the not-for-profit sector
  • Strategic planning and analytical capabilities
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Good stakeholder acquisition management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal / relationship building skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and develop strong strategic partnerships
